EBENEZER ADARKWAH

BISHOP

Founder, Chairman & General Overseer

MEET OUR CHAIRMAN/FOUNDER

Our Chairman, Bishop Ebenezer Adarkwah is the fifth of ten children born on May 14th, 1963 in Kade, Ghana, to Madam Sophia Ama Esaa and Mr. Benjamin Adarkwah during their 51-year union. The trajectory of Bishop Ebenzer’s life was foretold during his christening and dedication ceremony, where a prophetic revelation unveiled the divine calling that would shape his destiny. At age 18, Ebenezer was eager to join the Military due to his father’s heavy influence, but a pivotal intervention by his mother, Madam Sophia, redirected Ebenezer’s path. Entrusted to the care of his Aunt Mrs. Victoria and her husband, the esteemed Apostle Egyir-Painstil, who held the esteemed position of the first General Secretary of the Church of Pentecost in Ghana, young Ebenezer found himself in a spiritually enriching environment. The Apostle’s sage counsel prevailed, persuading Ebenezer to defer his Military aspirations until the completion of his studies. Determined and focused, Ebenezer successfully graduated from the prestigious Emit Electronic Institute of Accra in 1981.

A few months after his graduation, the revered Apostle Egyir-Painstil was called to Glory on March 22, 1981 at the age of 53. Overwhelmed by the profound loss, Ebenezer made the poignant decision to return to his roots in Kade. Back home Kade, around the military influence of his father, Ebenezer decided to join the historic June 4th Revolution of Ghana, starting as a local Task Force Leader and swiftly advancing to become the District Liaison Officer, as part of the National Mobilization Program. This period marked a crossroads between his mother’s desire for him to pursue ministry, his father’s military aspirations, and his own dreams of becoming a business mogul.

In 1987, following multiple suicide attempts and acquittal of 18 corruption-related charges tied to the National Mobilization Program, Ebenezer surrendered his life to God. That year, he founded the Kade Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship as the Prayer and Counseling Director. Through this, he connected with influential figures like Pastor Akomea Kyei, Pastor Dodd, Pastor Kwame Adjei, Pastor Daniel Authur, and Pastor Kumi, who later played key roles in the Christ Pentecostal International Church. During this period, Bishop Ebenezer drew the attention of Prophet Jonathan Edmond Ameyaw, his eventual spiritual father and mentor from the Church of Pentecost in Kade.

During a Full Gospel prayer session, Pastor Kwame Adjei prophesied that Ebenezer would establish his ministry in the United States. True to the prophecy, Ebenezer obtained his passport and visa just three days later. In 1991, he arrived in New York, was ordained as a Pastor in 1996, and within two years, planted churches in New York, Virginia, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Chicago. By 1998, he became the Bishop and Chairman of Christ Pentecostal International Church, overseeing its growth to 26 active branches across Ghana and the United States. Additionally, he preached internationally in Germany, South Korea, Holland, Italy, England, Israel, and Canada.

Our Chairman, residing in Bronx, New York, shares his life with his beloved wife Cynthia. Their children, Pastor Stephen, Margaret, Abigail, Elijah, Elisha, Natasha, and their eleven (11) grandchildren, bring them immense pride and joy. At 60, our Chairman continues to lead Christ Pentecostal International Church with unwavering zeal, dedicated to delivering, reaching, and empowering God's people as passionately as ever.
